The National Museum of the Pacific War is one of twenty State Historic Sites administered by the Texas Historical Commission. The six acre site includes the Admiral Nimitz Museum which is housed in the old Nimitz Hotel. The National Museum of the Pacific War is an amazing place that really helps you understand the war in the pacific. Planes, tanks, torpedoes, submarines etc., are so well preserved and lovingly displayed. On the other side there are actual artifacts, emotional letters home from soldiers, and educational exhibits. The National Museum of the Pacific War is one of the great museum in Fredericksburg, TX.

It is the only museum in the continental U.S. solely dedicated to telling the story of WWII in the Pacific. A must stop while in Fredericksburg!
